Virtual Reality (VR) Therapy
A guided, immersive approach to practicing skills, managing anxiety, and building confidence in a supportive therapeutic environment.
What is Virtual
Reality (VR) Therapy?
Virtual Reality Therapy uses a specialized headset to place you in interactive, lifelike environments while a trained therapist guides the experience. Depending on your goals, VR may be used to practice coping skills, support gradual exposure, build confidence in real-world situations, or create space for mindfulness and relaxation.

How It Can Help
-
Anxiety and Phobias: Practice approaching feared situations gradually in a controlled, supportive setting.
-
Real-World Confidence: Rehearse situations such as driving, flying, public speaking, or social interaction.
-
Stress Regulation: Use guided environments to practice breathing, mindfulness, and coping skills.
-
Individualized Therapy: When clinically appropriate, VR can complement CBT, EMDR, or traditional talk therapy.
What to Expect
Before using VR, you and your therapist will discuss your goals, comfort level, and whether VR is appropriate for your treatment. During the experience, your therapist will guide you, monitor how you’re feeling, and adjust the environment to your needs. You can pause or stop at any point.
VR Therapy can be used alongside your work with your current therapist, allowing you to add focused, therapist-guided VR sessions without transferring or ending your existing therapeutic relationship.
