Healing Trauma Workshop

If you’re looking for a new tool for healing trauma and integrating body and mind, this workshop is perfect for you! Our Healing Trauma Workshop incorporates rhythm and drumming exercises to help you process and heal trauma. This therapeutic modality integrates the brain, mind, and body, which is essential for addressing the symptoms caused by trauma. Learn about your nervous system, the mind-body connection, and how to express and release in a safe way.

"The biggest takeaways that I have seen with this are a sense of connection to the body, reconnecting in a safe way with other humans, and inviting a sense of creativity and playfulness when trauma therapy can often feel very heavy."

Meet Dr. Jessica Hoggle

Dr. Jessica Hoggle .......

Why Drumming?

Dr. Jessica Hoggle discovered the healing power of drumming after a colleague introduced her to an African drumming circle. This experience opened her eyes to new possibilities beyond traditional talk therapy, which often falls short of addressing the physical manifestation of trauma. Convinced that healing requires engaging both the mind and body, Dr. Hoggle began integrating drumming into her therapy sessions. The results were remarkable, leading her to delve deeper into the science behind drumming’s benefits. Her research, conducted as part of her Doctorate in Social Work, revealed significant mental health improvements and increased immune responses in participants, laying the groundwork for drumming as a valuable tool in trauma recovery.
